Cory Shoemaker has five years of experience in the financial services industry. She previously worked as an Associate Advisor with Lincoln Financial Advisors/Sagemark Consulting in upstate New York. Cory received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart & William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY where she majored in economics and minored in public policy with a concentration in economic, political, and social development. Cory studied the post-communist transition in Germany, Romania, and Hungary as part of her undergraduate coursework. She was recognized for her academic achievements by being named to the Dean’s List and was recognized as a Helen Heath Scholar at the colleges.
Cory obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2011. She currently holds her North Carolina insurance license and FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. Cory enjoys spending her free time traveling, exploring the outdoors, hiking, biking and kayaking.

Julie Choate has spent the past 10 years working in mortgage services. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in journalism with a concentration in advertising. She is a volunteer for the North Carolina Chapter of Canine Seizure Assist and helps to train service dogs for people with epilepsy.
